Feng Shui

Feng Shui ("wind" and "water" in Chinese) is a Chinese tradition over 3000 years old, based on observing energy flows (Qi) in the environment. Two main schools: Form (landscape observation) and Compass (cardinal orientation analysis). Widely used in Asia to orient buildings, burials, businesses.

Qi circulates in space as in the human body. The organization of a place (entrances, windows, furniture, colors) influences this circulation. Good Feng Shui favors yin-yang balance, harmony of the 5 elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water), and supports the inhabitants' health, relationships and prosperity.

On-site or remote consultation (on plan). 2 to 4 hours. The consultant analyzes orientation, openings, bagua areas (9-sector square: health, family, prosperity, etc.). Recommendations: relocations, symbolic object additions (mirrors, plants, fountains), colors.

Construction or renovation projects, new housing, transition periods (move, birth, separation), businesses, workspace harmonization.

No formal scientific validation of bagua correspondences. Benefits may come from better functional arrangement (light, circulation, ergonomics) and a positive placebo effect linked to caring intention for one's living space.

Prefer consultants trained in a traditional school (ideally several years). Beware of practitioners selling expensive "feng shui objects" as a miracle solution. Typical fees: $200 to $600 for a full consultation.
