Our framework

Horizon Soins ethics charter

Our mission is to document and connect — not to arbitrate practice. Horizon Soins is not a professional order and does not evaluate the clinical relevance of treatments. Here is how our platform works and where each party's responsibility lies.

1. Registration and automatic verifications

A practitioner's registration is published immediately after automatic technical verifications. Horizon Soins does not manually evaluate skills or quality of care — that is the practitioner's responsibility and, where applicable, their professional order's.

Required fields complete

Name, valid email, discipline, city, short bio, signed ethics declaration. Without these fields, the profile cannot be published.

Email verified

A confirmation email is sent. The profile is suspended if the email comes back as invalid or non-existent.

Anti-spam filters

Automatic check of prohibited keywords (miracle promises, manipulative language) and credible format (no test entries, no duplicates on the same email).

Self-declared training information

The practitioner enters their own training, years of experience, and professional order number if applicable. This information is published as is.

User reporting

Anyone can report an inappropriate profile via the "Report" button or our contact address. Serious reports are reviewed within 72 hours.

2. Grounds for suspension or removal

Following a substantiated report, a profile may be temporarily suspended or permanently removed in the following situations:

  • Promises to cure serious pathologies (cancer, multiple sclerosis, psychiatric disorders, etc.).
  • Explicit substitution for conventional medical treatment (e.g. "stop your chemo, I'll heal you").
  • Unsupported "scientific" claims (e.g. "cures cancer 90% of the time").
  • Documented client complaints about abusive or non-consensual behaviour.
  • Misleading pricing (hidden packages, forced subscriptions, abusive cancellation fees).
  • Identity theft or false professional information.

3. Prohibited practices

Listed practitioners commit to avoid:

  • Diagnose a pathology (unless legally licensed as a physician).
  • Prescribe the discontinuation of a medication prescribed by a doctor.
  • Promise the cure of an identified disease.
  • Engage in non-consensual physical contact, even well-intentioned.
  • Solicit a personal or intimate relationship with a client.
  • Bill for a service not rendered or different from the one announced.

4. Transparency about risks

We document the controversies, legal grey areas and identified risks of each discipline. Our goal is NOT to hide information but to present it honestly. If a practice carries risks (drug interactions for herbal medicine, contraindications for fasting, etc.), we say so on the discipline page and in the relevant practitioner profiles.

The final responsibility for choosing a treatment always belongs to the user, in consultation with their primary care physician. Horizon Soins is not responsible for the individual actions of listed practitioners.

5. Financial independence

Horizon Soins is funded exclusively through monthly subscriptions from listed practitioners ($29/month). No commissions on appointments. No third-party advertising. No "sponsored profiles" that modify the ranking of results. Position in the directory depends solely on relevance to the search.

6. Report a problem

If you have had a problematic experience with a listed practitioner, or if you notice a profile that violates our charter, write to us:

horizonsoins@forge-tech.ca

We investigate every report within 72 hours. Profiles under investigation are temporarily suspended.
